in this moment
let me be
translucent like a cloud
so the Light will illuminate me
in this moment
let me be
transparent like a window
so the Light will shine through me
in this moment
i am a sinner
let me be humble
so the Light will transform me
“He must increase; I must decrease. Jn 3:30”
from the desert
comes a stormy cloud
before the sunrise
the cloud points to the sun
reflecting a glory not its own
only the sun
can bring the light
that shows the way
giving the sight of truth
to those in darkness
the cloud can bring rain
cleansing and life giving
to those who need it
the rain can’t wash the sun
only touching off rainbows
identifying the sun as greater
he would withdraw to deserted places to pray. Lk 5:16
welcome, Lord Jesus
a deserted place
my heart
sunrise
a frozen lake
fire and ice
And when he had taken leave of them, he went off to the mountain to pray. Mk 6:46
I found my Lord alone on the mountain. He’s kneeling on the ground
prostrate. His back is to me but I can see the spasms rack his
body. My ears strain to hear the sound of his sobbing. Tears
stream down my face. Helplessness overwhelms me. All I can do
is kneel next to him…………………………………………………..
………………………A gentle hand on my shoulder startles me
awake. I look up into the Light of the world. He extends his hand
to me and whispers, “The world calls us. Come, follow me.”
