What are these that I love more than my Lord?
Shed the light on me that I may see
Reveal the truth to me that I may repent
Show me wisdom that I may understand
Grant me humility that I may accept
Give me courage to change
Lord, I want to know these now
rather than at the hour of my death
I want to love you more than these
cold mist : fogged windows
driving the daily commute
unawakened life
“And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one,” – Jn 17:22
glory that awaits
yearning hearts and opened eyes
the awakened life
“They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world.” – Jn 17:16

we belong with him

we belong with you
we long to be with you
our longing rests in you
your longing rests in us
long before we became aware
your longing was with us
our longing is your longing
we will not rest until we bring your longing home

to be aware
to be aware of you who is God with us
to know you who is I AM
to be loved by you who remains always
to be worthy to be loved by you
to be aware of me
to be aware of this moment
to be in this moment with God
who is I AM,
who is with us,
and who remains
to have life in this moment
to have eternal life
