2019.06.05: liminal flow

every so often, a day like today happens. the timing of the stop lights. the steady flow of traffic. no one is cut off. no one has to wait too long. everyone moves in their own turn. even at the junctions. where jostling is a constant. everyone finds their lane. and separate each their ways. a sudden surge of gratitude. a feeling of joyful knowing. a certitude of a primal truth. this is how it should be. a divine sense of being. a oneness with all.

rain falls upon me
yet eyes need to be shielded
brightness of the sun

      1. It was quite revolutionary in the 1980s – both visually and with its Philip Glass soundtrack. Probably on YouTube, or at least enough to give you a sense of it.

  1. My June 5th was similar. I went to renew my driver’s license and with the new rules needed more documentation. I had already checked in and received my number. I raced, not speeding, home to grab my papers knowing if they called my number I would return to the bottom of the list. Back at DMV I walked into the door right as the bell rang announcing my number at window 2! HA! One stoplight and I would have been there another hour. I was grateful.

    1. Glad you had it at home. I would have to go to the safety deposit box at the bank since I can’t trust tornadoes to leave important papers alone.
