This was a very fortuitous find as there was a 24-hr endurance trail bike race at this park where we walk. We showed up for our weekly walk as they were packing up to leave. Around the back side between a residential addition and the park, we happened upon this guy – waiting patiently for the invaders to leave his territory. On a personal note this is the first time I’ve seen a buck at this park. His harem and progeny abound so we knew he had to be around somewhere. Well here he is!

What a great find. We do have deer in Bristol, and very occasionally they can be found in the urban areas, but mostly they stick to the parks/outskirts.
