Indeed it was a privilege, and I felt delighted with my discovery. Then I felt empathy for the parent bird and almost as suddenly I was appalled at the trauma that I was causing the poor bird. I had violated the tenet of “Do no harm”. Yet the harm was already done so I decided to take a couple snaps with my phone and the bird and ask for forgiveness later. I wished that the bird could know I meant no harm and trust that God knew the intentions of my heart. Life is so complicated sometimes!
Fabulous photograph. Do you know what species of bird?

Guessing it’s some type of sparrow. Here’s mama bird 10 feet away: https://longingforwater.files.wordpress.com/2021/06/img_3081-e1623634605281.jpg?resize=900%2C900
This was right outside the hotel where we were vacationing. Felt badly that I scared mama away from nest but snapped a quick shot while she settled nearby.
