We will save them, we will save the earth!
Such immeasurable arrogance. Destroy something, then honor yourself for displaying that which you’ve destroyed. Just call it conservation, charge a fee, and we’ll all feel better about it.
I do it too, but we must see truth even at its ugliest.
I am continually trying to reconcile my belief in “Have a lot of children! Fill the earth with people and bring it under your control. Rule over the fish in the ocean, the birds in the sky, and every animal on the earth” (CEV) – and how human kind has altered what little we know to override nature. The population has more than doubled in 50 years and we are witnessing the extinction of species at an alarming rate. We have become terrible stewards.
My faith in the Almighty is solid. It is the failure of our species that has led us here. We have outwitted death in the short term, and we think we are “something” for it!
Don’t get me wrong. I am not worried. Neither do I loathe life. Life is a joy in Him.
This is certainly something to ponder. A powerful poem!

I guess it depends on the zoo and the care of the species they are looking after

Amen. Denying the truth doesn’t make it less true.
